Admissions

 

Access to PhD programs is by competitive examinations.

To develop the internationalization of research, the University of Florence promotes international doctorate courses and thesis in a joint agreement with foreign universities. (Check the international agreements ongoing for our program).

 

Selections are closed at the moment. As soon as possible we'll publish information about the new cycle - XLII!

 

FOR XLI Cycle (started on 1st November 2025) there were two calls:

- the regular call (deadline June 17, 2025)

- the call for Scholarships Pegaso 2025 (deadline August 7, 2025)

Please note that the admission procedure is managed centrally by the University of Florence.

 

The program is articulated into three different curricula:

• Solid, fluid and materials mechanics
• Construction design, verification and control
• Environment, resources and security

 

For each Cycle, the Sections of the DICEA UNIFI and the DICI UNIPI represented in the Academic Council selected the research topics/fields.
