MOBILITY FUND
This fund is not available for visiting students.
Art. 18 comma 7 of the UNIFI Doctorate Regulation - To each doctoral student (with and without scholarship but not visiting students) is assured a fund for mobility for 'research activity in Italy and abroad’ – of about 4.800 euros (in the three years).
The council requires the students to propose a plan for the expenses to be agreed with the supervisor, in order to use them wisely and in a timely manner.
If other expenses may be needed, relevant to the training course, you can ask the secretariat.
The funds can be used for:
• business travel expenses in Italy and abroad
• enrolment in training courses (no university fees)
• costs of publishing and disseminating scientific results
• consumables and small non-inventory items
• software, licences and bibliographic resources
• external services (laboratory analysis, specialized translations, statistical processing, etc.)
The funds cannot be used for inventory or depreciable assets (e.g. laptops, tablets, durable equipment) or personal expenses.
INCREASING OF THE SCHOLARSHIP FOR PERIODS ABROAD
• There isn't a minimum period, fill it also for short periods, the amount it is calculated daily
• Authorization can be asked for any period abroad linked to the research even in a place different from the country of the cotutelle agreement.
• Confirmation should be sent at the end of every month (by the 5th of the following) or after the end of the total period
• In case you forgot to send the confirmation in time, you are going to receive the increasing in the first payment available.
• For a period longer than 6 months, authorization must be given by the Academic Board with a resolution of the Council.
• The sum of the periods indicated with the confirmation will count for the validity of the total period abroad mandatory for every cycle, for any doctoral students
