Experienced academic lecturer in higher education and head of the Department of Structures Mechanics and Building Materials at Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Architecture, Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology. Her research activity concerns concrete technology, in particular the use of mineral additive to produce cement composites, self-compacting concrete, high-performance concrete, geopolymer concrete and life cycle assessment of concrete. She conducts foreign scientific cooperation in the field of concrete technology with scientists from Turkey, Italy, and USA.
Her objective as a teacher is to motivate students to develop their own learning interests and critical thinking. She has been a supervisor of about 120 bachelor’s, and master’s theses, the subject matter of which related mainly to technical condition diagnostics, strengthening of building structures, design of construction and engineering structures as well as concrete technology. She also has extensive administrative experience and experience in developing and improving study programs in higher education. She was vice-dean for teaching and student affairs, and the chairman of the scientific council for the discipline of civil engineering and transport.
